The following courses have been organized by selecting and grouping video lessons from the Main Program of the Online School. It consists of over a thousand videos presented in a sequential and step-by-step format of weekly video lessons. Covering the entire CST Wing Chun System so that the necessary foundations for the Empty Hand Forms, 10s of training Principles shared by Grandmaster Chu, Chi Sao, Pad-work, Techniques, Wooden Dummy, the Weapons etc.
So for going through the complete System, it is advised that you go through the Main Program of the Online School. Choosing either the Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime memberships.
However, due to popular request, we have also separately categorized the main subjects of the System into the below courses so that they can be accessed independently.
It is crucial that you complete each of the below courses IN THE RIGHT ORDER. Since, for example, the particular concepts and terms that will be referred to in SNT Part 2 course will have been covered and explained in detail in its ‘compulsory pre-requisite course/s’ which in this example would be SNT Part 1.
So, if the compulsory pre-requisite courses are skipped through, not only will you not have the required foundations of practice, but also, you literally may not know the term or concept being referred to! For this reason, please pay close attention and ensure that you complete each course according to its set pre-requisite courses.
Along with the compulsory pre-requisite courses, we have also highlighted ‘recommended pre-requisite course/s’ for each course. They are not compulsory but are strongly suggested, to ensure that the foundation of your understanding and skillsets in this unique method of practice are developed in the most efficient and effective way possible.
Finally, if you decide to go down this courses route rather than the Main Program Subscriptions route, you must start with SNT Part 1 course as it’s the first pre-requisite course.
Siu Nim Tao Part 1 - 3 Courses
Siu Nim Tao Part 1 is the beginning course of Siu Nim Tao which is the pre-requisite course to all the other upcoming courses. It covers all the necessary ideas that set the foundations for this very unique method of ‘INTERNAL’ Wing Chun as taught by Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin.
For this reason, this course is recommended for ALL who are interested in this method. Regardless of Wing Chun or other training background (from complete beginners all the way up to experienced practitioners and teachers of other Wing Chun lineage).
This course covers Chi Sao from the very beginning to the most advanced stages of the practice.
Chi Sao is unique to the art of Wing Chun. Nevertheless, there are many different interpretations of it’s use and method of practice. It depends on the lineage and teacher.
Using the ‘internal’ method of practice, we are able to produce great power with every move while using very little brute muscular force…
Chum Kiu Part 1 + 2 Courses
Chum Kiu is the 2nd empty hand Form in Wing Chun Kung Fu. Part 1 (of 2) of the Chum Kiu courses should be completed prior to beginning Chum Kiu Part 2. After this course you can move onto the Biu Gee and Wooden Dummy courses.
In Chum Kiu we begin to learn how to feel and utilize our Center of Mass as the ‘engine’ for all our movements eliminating the need for brute force to generate power. However, this can only be achieved once the practitioner has attained a good level in their Siu Nim Tao practice.
Biu Gee is the 3rd and final empty hand Form in the Wing Chun Kung Fu system. It is where we learn to produce maximum power within all movements. It is rare for practitioners to understand and be able to apply the ‘internal’ method of performing Biu Gee.
Many merely copy the external movements without the knowledge and proper instructions of the internal working of the body and mind while performing. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that Biu Gee was not traditionally taught to many students in the past, making this course a very valuable one within the Wing Chun.
Students often express that the most fun and enjoyable Wing Chun practice are the Wooden Dummy and Chi Sao. The Wooden Dummy is a perfect tool for those who don’t spend too much time working with a partner.
Once one has gained enough experience and ability in performing the traditional Dummy form (set sequence of movements), they may creatively come up with many of their own drills and movements to practice. It should be noted that if practiced properly, the Dummy is such a useful tool for getting feedback on the delivery of the correct ‘internal’ power cultivated in the empty hand forms.
Techniques Part 1 - 3 Courses
With over 140 videos (including bonus videos), Part 1 of the ‘Techniques and Applications’ courses and is the pre-requisite course to Parts 2 and 3. It covers all the necessary ideas that set the foundations for applying this unique method of Wing Chun.
Part 2 of the series covers the intermediate techniques, striking (pad-work) and self-defense applications of the Wing Chun system.
Part 3 is the final and the most Advanced course in the ‘Techniques and Application’ course series. It is crucial to have completed the first 2 courses of this series before moving onto this one, otherwise the pre-requisite skills and understanding will not be there to support the high level techniques that will be shared in this course!
